One year old can't say "Mom and Dad"
Please don't be too anxious
The important time nodes that really need to be paid attention to are these————
Generally, parents can identify the risk of early autism (also known as “autism”) by observing some “growth signals” of their children at different stages of their life, at 3, 6, 8, 12, 18, 24, and 36 months after the birth of the child. For example:
- At 3 months, he did not respond to loud noises or look at people’s faces;
- At 6 months, the baby makes little noise and does not laugh out loud.
- At 8 months old, he ignored people’s voices and could not distinguish between his mother and strangers.
- At 12 months, he does not wave or clap his hands and ignores his name when called;

- At 18 months, they rarely call “Dad” or “Mom” and will not make eye contact with people;
- At the age of 2, he could not understand what he said.
- At the age of 2 and a half, the child may only like something, cannot say a phrase of 2 to 3 words, and will not tell his family that he needs to urinate or defecate.
- At the age of 3, he could not communicate or play with other children and could not say his own name.
In addition, some autistic children may experience “skill regression” before the age of 18 months, such as suddenly stopping calling “Mom” after previously knowing how to do so.
Therefore, it is recommended that all children continue to undergo developmental screening after the age of 2 years.

Parents should pay more attention to these “radar signals” on their children’s growth path, but there is no need to be overly nervous.
If multiple warning signs are found, it is recommended to go to a medical institution in time for early professional evaluation. Early detection and early intervention can achieve the best results.
